Clean Up Crew

Our maths focus yesterday was geometry. To help us with this we did a coordinates challenge were you have to follow the directions. If it says 6, 3 you have to go across first then you have to go down to get the correct mark. I think I found this easy because I have worked with coordinates before and it came up with a weird picture.

Times Tables

On Monday Mrs Anderson's maths group created a DLO using any maths strategy that we wanted. Me and my partner Nickaela decided to choose this strategy because it is simple and easy to use. The questions that we were solving is: How many green triangles mama needs to make a Tivaevae. Fractions

On Monday we started learning about fractions. Since it is samoan language week Mrs Anderson decided to do a maths question that has something to do with samoa. This DLO that I have created is about fractions. If you want to see how we solved the question about the ula lole read my DLO because it explains what we did. Today we used the game 
"Hit the button" to help us recall our 4x answers quickly. I found it hard to find the question so I will be practicing this in my own time.

World Of Maths

Yesterday at school after lunch we went to the hall and Mrs A put us into groups with LS1. When we were all in our groups Mrs A, Mr Ogilvie, and Charles sent all the groups to different tables. Charles is the man who works for world of maths. The First table that my group went to was Off the Islands. The people in my group were Sakae, Sila, Giovanni, and Zane. My favorite activity out of all the maths rotations was the first activity that we did called Off the islands. I liked this activity because it was really hard at first but once you really think about it you will finally get it. While we were working out the problems we had to also think about key composites. We also had to work together as a team and collaborate with each other. 

Maths

On Wednesday we had maths. We did less than, greater that, and equal. Read my DLO to find out more about what we did. In this activity I worked with Sa kae and Lyndon.

Today for maths as a class we played Quizizz. We did a basic facts challenge. We had to answer 20 questions with multiple choices. We were competing between our class to see who gets all the questions right and who is the fastest. I really enjoyed playing this game and it really helps me with my basic facts. Think Board

Mrs. Anderson's maths group has been learning about plusing decimals. This is a think board of my learning on how to solve the question 4.2 + 3.6. I have shown what strategy I used. I used a diagram to show my thinking, A word story, And other similar questions to the number problem.

Last week Mrs Anderson's maths group started doing e-ako maths.Last week i did these takes on e-ako maths .

PBS Flag votes

Yesterday we started this activity. We had to analyse our PBS flag votes data then graph our results. Next I had to take a screen shot of my graph then  make a new document and put the screen shot on the document and then I had to write sentences that shows I have read it and analysed the data.

Statistics of LS2

For this weeks maths is finding out about LS2 we had to get a paper then go around the class and ask our question. Then we had to make a bar graph.

Xtramath

This week i got 75 in a row. I am getting better at math as i gob and i am proud of my self for getting so much work done.

For this activity i had to guess how many faces there were and then paint all the faces.

My place value

Today I made a place value house.In the house there are three columns one column was hundreds and the next column was tens and the last column was ones.In the hundreds i put 2 and in the tens column i put 9 and in the ones column i put 7 so it was 297.

My high score in Monkey Drive

This is my high score on Monkey Drive.I am proud of myself because I have gotten better at my maths but I'm still trying to improve and achieve 100% in my maths. 

Basic Facts Progress

On Thursday for maths we did a basic facts test, I got 4%. I want to keep trying and improving until I get 100% right

Basic Facts Reflection

I have gotten better in my basic facts, I can now solve up to my 10’s. We did a test in maths, I got 46 out of 60 questions. We also did another test. I got 21 out of 100. I am proud that I tried. I know my basic facts up to 10 well.  I still need to learn addition as well. I can get better by going on E-ako maths and Xtramaths every day for 10 minutes. We have a test coming up and I want to improve!
